Performing, teaching and leading
Lisa-Maree Amos is Section Principal Flute of Orchestra Victoria and a member of the flute faculty at the
Melbourne Conservatorium of Music.
Her international career has included performances at Carnegie Hall and Trinity Church in New York; Zipper Hall and the Los Angeles County Museum of Art in Los Angeles; Wigmore Hall, the Royal Opera House and Purcell Room in London; and the Sydney Opera House and Melbourne Recital Centre in Australia.
Her work today extends beyond performance to the development of emerging professional musicians, arts leadership, governance and strategic work across the cultural sector.
Teaching & Mentoring
Lisa-Maree works with advanced students and emerging professional flautists preparing for orchestral and tertiary auditions, recitals, competitions and professional performance. Her teaching draws directly on more than three decades of orchestral, solo, chamber and contemporary performance experience.
A member of the flute faculty at the Melbourne Conservatorium of Music since 2009, her work includes individual teaching, performance classes, ensemble coaching and side-by-side professional projects.

More than three decades inside professional performing arts organisations inform Lisa-Maree’s work in artistic leadership, governance and organisational strategy. Her perspective combines the experience of a practising artist with an understanding of the people, structures and decisions that enable arts organisations to thrive.
